9th Annual A.C. Cinefest – OCT 14-16, 2016

The Atlantic City Cinefest invites you to our 9th annual Film Festival for an extended weekend long festival: Friday the 14th of October through the 16th!

The festival celebrates the art form of independent moviemaking.

In its eight years, the festival has hosted Kevin Smith (director of Clerks), Terry Winter (writer of The Wolf of Wall Street), Robert Downey, Sr. (director of Putney Swope), Scott Rosenfelt (executive producer of Home Alone), William Forsythe (actor from The Rock and The Devil’s Rejects), Dominique Swain (star of Lolita), Tom Malloy (producer/star of Love N’ Dancing), Brian O’Halloran (actor from Clerks) and more…

Schedule highlights:

Opening Night Film – We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting the New Jersey Premiere of Ben Hickernell’s A RISING TIDE, a new NJ-shot drama focusing on the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. The After Party will be held in the Iron Room at the Atlantic City Bottle Company (648 N. Albany Ave). Open to ticket holders of A RISING TIDE and Weekend Pass holders.

HITCHCOCK/TRUFFAUT – New Jersey Premiere of this new documentary on the historic meetings of two of the greatest cinematic minds in movie history.

Special Presentation: Filmadelphia – NJ-based film writer Irv Slifkin guides attendees through a history of Philly and NJ-shot films, from the well-known to the obscure.

Brian O'HalloranBrian O’Halloran, star of Clerks I, II and, come next year, III, will receive a Creative Achievement Award during ceremonies at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 at Dante Hall (schedule permitting). A fixture in Kevin Smith films, New York native O’Halloran will also reprise his Mallrats role in Mallbrats, also set for a 2016 release.
